Lisa Beynon started her artistic career at age 3, painting princesses, and drawing clothing for as long as her parents would allow. Growing up in the city of Chicago and attending Lane Technical High School gave her a fabulous foundation in art. During high school it was required to pick an area of concentration. The obvious choice for Lisa, was art. This led to a B.S. in Art Education degree from Northern Illinois University. Mrs. Beynon student taught at Genoa-Kingston High School, and was immediately drawn to the loving community, and small town pride. Lisa was fortunate enough to obtain a full time teaching position at the school she loved, GKHS, and has worked there for the past 17 years, and counting.
